A walkable city

One of the many perks of life in Bristol is how easy it is to get around. Big city attractions – restaurants, bars, theatres – are all walking distance from the University’s Clifton campus.

A city campus

Situated in the heart of Bristol, our Clifton campus is truly part of the city. The iconic Wills Memorial Building overlooks Park Street, one of the best known areas in Bristol.

On campus you're never more than a few minutes from cafés, shops and supermarkets.

Head down Park Street and you’ll reach the harbourside and city centre. Our new Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus will sit just beyond Temple Meads train station

We also have a campus in Langford, in the beautiful Mendip hills, with facilities for veterinary studies and research.

And walking isn’t just about getting from point A to point B. Walking around Bristol is so popular that we’re home to an annual walking festival, Bristol Walk Fest, which encourages participants to get outside and explore new areas of the city on foot.

Accessibility

There are a few things everyone notices when they visit Bristol for the first time. Our unique and vibrant atmosphere, our beautiful buildings – and the famous hills.

As an older city, we also have streets with narrow walkways and cobblestones, such as the Christmas Steps.

Everyone should be able to enjoy life in Bristol. For those with access or mobility needs, resources such as AccessAble can help you check the accessibility of buildings and locations in the city and research transport options.
