Location

A city perfectly located for exploring.

Located in the sunny South West of England, Bristol is one of the warmer cities in the UK.

This generally means long warm summers, and relatively mild winters. But it is still located in the UK, so remember to pack an umbrella!

A connected city

Travel with ease to other UK cities via our train and coach links. Less than two hours from London by train, Bristol is ideally located for trips into the capital.

Plus, you can easily travel to other European capitals from Bristol Airport. Hop on the Airport Flyer bus at Temple Meads and you’ll be at the airport in less than an hour.

A gateway to the South West and Wales

If trips to the countryside are more your thing, we're well placed for visits to Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) in Wales.

Our neighbouring counties of Somerset, Devon and Cornwall all make enjoyable day trips too, with sweeping landscapes, picture-postcard villages and pretty beaches.

Visit Glastonbury, home of the legendary music festival, and climb the Tor for stunning views. Or head to Weston-Super-Mare to explore the English seaside.
